Ethics & Rights

Ethical Standards

The Journal of Experiential Psychotherapy requires authors to comply with APA Ethical Standards for research and publication regarding:

  1. Informed consent;
  2. Human and animal rights;
  3. Conflict of interest (for details please see the APA Ethical Principles).

Authors are required to state in writing that they have complied with APA ethical standards in the treatment of their human or animal sample.

Duplicate Publication

It is unethical for authors to submit multiple similar manuscripts for publication at a time. It is also unethical for authors to submit a manuscript that has already been published or is in the process of review elsewhere.

Reproducibility, Plagiarism and Falsification

Authors must report their work accurately and precisely in order to be independently reproduced by other researchers. Plagiarism and falsification in any part of the submitted paper are serious offences to the scientific community and must be strictly avoided.

Authorship
The co-authors should be limited to those who have sufficiently contributed to the content of the work in responsible and accountable manners. The corresponding author must confirm that the submission of the manuscript has been approved by all co-authors.

Conflict of Interest

All contributing authors are required to reveal any possible conflict of interest occurred when conducting and reporting the research (e.g., financial interests in a test procedure, funding by pharmaceutical companies for drug research).
